CORNERSTONE SOFTWARE, INC. HIRES NEW CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER AND DIRECTOR OF COMPENSATION PLAN PRODUCTS

(NASHUA, NH) – Cornerstone Software, Inc., a privately-held software technology and consulting company, announced today that they have hired Jeanmarie Ward as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Teanna Spence as director of compensation plan products. This announcement comes on the heels of the company’s acquisition of the Makana Motivator self-serve compensation planning software application that automates the sales compensation planning and payment process for small- to mid-sized businesses, enabling them to improve the way they plan, manage costs, and motivate their sales force.

As COO, Ward brings more than 17 years of technical experience to Cornerstone, and is responsible for developing the Makana Motivator product roadmap and leading the company’s software development, quality assurance, and consulting initiatives. Most recently Ward was a director of architecture at Fidelity Investments driving technology strategies and implementation for their Defined Contributions platform, which produces over a billion interactions annually. Prior to that, she was a senior consultant at Microsoft where she strengthened their technical presence with strategic financial services clients. Ward earned a B.A. in Computer Science from Boston University.

As director of compensation plan products, Spence is responsible for providing strategic product guidance for the Makana Motivator product line and leading the sales and support team. She also provides consulting services to small- and medium-sized businesses to help them develop sales compensation plans that deliver on their corporate goals. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Spence was director of compensation for Salary.com, which was acquired by Kenexa, and before that she was a co-founder of Makana Solutions. Spence earned a B.S.in Accounting from Salem State College in Salem, MA, and an M.S. in Business Management from Thomas College in Waterville, ME.
